lyrics
Born from pain, so damaged
Hatred in heart, head and veins
From ear to ear, no joking
Embraces the art of the knives
See what’s in there?
(Nothing but) knives & lint
Be all prepared
Deceased are who sinned
Mad, in fact, he owns you
Clutched to the root of his vengeance
No bullets, no hitmen, no play cards
Persistence engraved in his blade
See what’s in there?
(Nothing but) knives & lint
Be all prepared
Deceased are who sinned
As we prepare ourselves spiritually, physically, and mentally for Sunnata’s upcoming Chasing Shadows, it is as good a time as any to reflect upon the band’s incredible discography, which stands as one of the finest in all of sludge/ stoner, and even (modern) doom for that matter. Zorya is probably Sunnata’s heaviest album and though it is a smidgen less dynamic than Outlands, it is the best entry point for new listeners who want to know what’s what. Perfect soundtrack for steamrolling your foes. Ippocalyptica
Combining crooned murder ballads with raw, angsty hard rock hooks, Melbourne's The Ugly Kings are a wrecking crew well worth watching. Bandcamp New & Notable Sep 15, 2021
...wandering into a wooded night, the sky flashes unearthly bright, silhouette of an enormous, antlered figure. Your ears may not translate Outlands' building, tribal sounds that coalesce from chants, guitar building from meditative to Earth-shattering riffs, eternal grooves, and a general sense of mysticism, into my own ocular imaginings. You may not see the sky crack open when Szymon Ewertowski and Adrian Gadomski sing that last, guttural "Higher!" Music is subjective. Outlands is incredible. Nicholasw
